i just wanted clarification im looking to do a single turbo application but wanted to make sure on the piston/ rods so i can look into a good combo to go with and trying to find somewhere to do custom grind cams ill make a sheet metal intake and a fast xfi setup not 100% on turbo size boost levels yet as not sure on hp max on block and crank just figured it would be a little different
comp cams makes cams for the V10 and valve springs only thing is I'am not sure the springs can handle that much more lift, with the modular V8's in the mustangs they claim 425 hp at the wheels before the internals have to be touched.
However, and I've been ragged on in the past about this, I'd make sure any aftermarket rods or pistons you use weigh the SAME as the stock OEM units.
Check with an engine balancer (a very good one) to make sure, but because the V10 uses a balance shaft, and the reason for the balance shaft is not all the pistons/rods are moving in completely opposite directions, I think that you would have problems with engine balance if you were to use a different weight rod/piston.
I know that in racing applications, they just remove the balance shaft, but I don't think that's a good way to go if you're looking for an engine that runs smooth.
