460 EFI rebuild and runs rough
Ok, here goes. I have a 93 E-350 Box van. It broke a pistion. I had a local guy rebuild it. Bored .30 over, and new everything internal expect crank (he checked and said it was good even though I said replace it if need be). I was going to just have him buil d a short block but then he then offers to build it the rest of the way and freshen up the heads. This guy from reputation knows what he is doing. So I take him the intake which I removed and labeled (to and from) all the vacuum lines. He decides to repaint it to match the built engine. Needless to say, I had no idea where the llines went to. I did the best I could but.....
Now the engine runs with a stumble at idle, has a fuel small and some dark smoke traces out of the exhaust. It acts as if it is loading up. Once warm, it idles better but I can still detect a slight miss. At cruise speeds, it strumbles alot unless I am accelerating. The higher the RPM the better it runs.
I did remove the pump and the egr tube on the passenger side. Does anyone have any ideas of where to look for the problem?
