I'm hoping Bill ( NumberDummy ) will chime in again as I'm curious to see if the CS's could have been ordered with another style mirror.
LOL...beat you to it by 4 minutes, see post # 46 above.

Ford offered a similar round "diminishing" aka "spot mirror" mirror like the one shown above, but it had an amber reflector lens on the front side.
The ball pivot swivel mount was on the side of the mirror, which was about 1/2" thick. > >
C5TZ17696A .. 4 1/2" Round "Diminishing" Mirror / Use with Western Junior Mirrors / Obsolete
Anyone interested? I found 18 of these Diminishing aka "Spot Mirrors" NOS at dealers, obsolete parts vendors.

Here's a bit of info someone may find handy. If the mirror glass is broken or faded but the head is still good a glass shop can cut and install new glass. When I redid the junior versions on my 72 I disassembled the heads and had new glass cut for them. New glass for both was $20 and change.

Old thread but a good one. Lot of good information here.
Has anyone recently found any reproductions?
Has anyone looked into fabricating them? How successful were you?
I talked to a tubing bender the other day. He says that he can do it if I can get the measurement. Anyone willing to attack their mirror with a tape measure?

Some people like those but when your not towing or have a camper on they our a pain in tha butt. Can't go through any car wash while most the brush pieces can get tangled up tin them. One of the greatest days was when, I removed mind and sold them for 100.00 bucks on ebay.. Plus didn't like the blind spots with them.. Some guys really dig them thou. Makes them feel like a big rig driver..- my 2cents

Car wash? What, you don't wash your truck by hand with silk clothes and sented oils?
"When I get the truck fixed up," I would like to be able to doing some towing with it. The wider stance on the mirrors are useful for that. That is why I want the West Coast over the Jr West Coast. I have a set of after market Jrs on there now. I haven't had a blind spot issue like some people have mentioned. It is the inside mirror that causes problems for me in most vehicles. I'm 6'4". The inside mirror is right at eye level.
And I'll confess... I think that they look cool too.
Everyone has their own opinion. It's a great thing. Otherwise, all of our trucks would look the same.

Stll need a mirror, I found one..... It's a start!
I found a drivers side one in the bone yard this weekend, has the three point mount. good shape, need new glass cut. and the hardware is rusty. right side gone. I feel so lucky I bought a nice pair off ebay fro 20 bucks, had a new glass cut for drivers side an I couldn't be happier. Somebody had put some stupid aftermarket ones on my truck, they were the first things to go. A 69 camper special just isnt special without the ugly west coast mirrors lol.
If your still in need of this mirror let me know I trip to this yard all the time and would grab it and ship it for you, the glass is not that expensive, I think it was 20 bucks or so to do one of mine. the mirror from the yard cost you 20 bucks ish. email me @ mudshovel_009@ hotmail.com

Mudshovel,
Thanks for the offer. However, I am not as concerned about finding the mirrors themselves. There are after markets that look close enough. It is the frame I am looking for.
Would you mind taking a set of measurement for me? If you have not mounted it yet, how about tracing it out? If I fabricate a set, I'll let you know how it comes out. If you like them, you could have a passenger side made.
The experts in this thread have been calling those Jr West Coast.

Cory, it's the whole assy, glass is just cracked. frame is fine. And yes I think Mac's claims they have the mirror heads.

I have a '69 F250 with a nice set of the original west coast mirrors that i will be replacing with the small original style sport mirrors. My plan was to sell these on craigslist. I can forward pictures if you are interested. I am in the process of painting my truck. Al
