Did any v10's come without an oil cooler?

My oring is leaking between the cooler and the adapter. The oring isn't available from ford as they only sell the entire cooler for $180. I sourced a Viton oring. As I was going through this I searched oil coolers on this site and google. I read quite as few posts where the cooler failed showing up as oil in the coolant and visa versa. I had a knee jerk reaction to remove it as 6 months ago I lost a gm 350 engine which was in perfect condition with synthetic oil changes since new as I bought it new. It failed due to coolant in the engine. The whole thing made me sick. I've never seen an engine so clean with 100000 miles on it. i put a reman engine in it and since bought my excursion. So I guess it's my paranoia which got the best of me. The 350 was cheep compared to what a v10 would be and I don't want to through all that again. Anthony
