Need some help for Texan2004
Texan2004 is my son and last talk I had with him before Ike plowed into Houston he had a problem erupt with his 2003 6.0L Diesel.
Water pump pulley came loose. All I know, all he knows. It occurred while he was getting things battened down prior to Ike. Hauling duties suddenly got reassigned to his Ranger and the F250 to the driveway. He really had not had a chance to look at it when I talked to him and winds were already 45 mph. His internet access had vanished about an hour earlier.
Question is does anyone have an idea of what to be looking for on this. Shaft seems OK, Fan and fan clutch are in place and working. He's not even sure how the pulley is / was attached. Any one have a clue as to what might have broken or why? My guess is someones going to have to ship parts to him from out of town, Houston's not going to get to functioning for at least a week or so.

Thanks, I was hoping that's all it was. Son and I were both thinking that there might some sort of shear device in there and was indicating bigger problems.
Good news is that they got through Ike OK, minimal damage as far as I know.
