In no way should anyone be made to risk their lives to rescue those people and any rescue that takes place should be refunded for costs by the people that got rescued.
Of course there are exclusions, but for those who had no reason to stay other than "I want to", this should apply.

Why would anyone stay after seeing the devestation of Katrina??

I posted this in the Ike Blows thread.....
Gov. Perry stated for those that did not evacuate Evacuation Zones that there would be no rescue efforts during the storm but, they could be assured that every effort would be made....for their recovery.
This morning it was reported that desperate but, futile, 911 calls were made during the worst parts of the storm.
Go figure.

Just to let you all know, my son is fine, and only had slight damage to his fence and a few shingles off his roof. His essential job is at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. He had never been thru a hurricane before, and probably will not want to go thru another if he can help it! Again, thanks for all your concern.......
