pcv valve??

I found that the hose coming from the pcv valve the the air intake tube was capped off then put into the air intake tube. Should I leave it capped or uncap it.

Thanks for the help.

I guess if it is working OK you could leave it as-is.

If it were mine, I would try and get it all hooked back up like it came form the factory.

Well it looks like that is how it came. Does anyone else with a 4.2L have this same issue?

Well, I'm confused
But that is not uncommon for me.

I want to look at my Haynes manual and get a better about what you describe.
I got the impression you were describing something that a previous owner had done.

hi, i have taken the pipe from the pcv valve and fitted a k&n small filter to let it breathe.
the other end i then capped off. this caused no problems with running and did not flag-up any codes. this had to be done due to it caused problems with the propane conversion. but i would follow the advice and refit as per stock. good luck bokker.
