Hi I am looking to put a cap and a roof rack on my 2005 lariat for work(painting).
What would be the best way to go about this,who has the best caps and looking for a full roof rack to carry ladders.

Caps are a bit of a personal preference thing. You really have to go check them out and see what features of which brand you like the most.

The cap dealer or you can mount about any kind of rack to the top. It just ends up being bolted clean through the roof of the cap.

 

For running ladders and such, I'd look for a well built track rack that is mounted to the bed. Then add your cap. That way you don't have to worry about the damage that can occur. Heck, friends have ruined fiberglass caps boucing their kayaks on/off. Ladders will do more damage.

Talk with your local truck upfitter and see what they offer.
