Ok it's been a while, and if I'm honest the truck hasn't done much apart from the odd Sunday scrape down the road and get washed.

However........I came across another - and bought it. And guess what? It's a bitsa - just like the one I have now. Anyways, it has some nice MSD bits on the 302 in the 'bay and enough parts to sell that I can make a little back on the outlay.

Pardon the Dodge bed.........(I didn't do it).

So, towed it home and after renting a Garage to put it in, spent a small amount of time stripping various bit off of it to sell, and started removing the front to get the engine/trans out.

Two questions........what does "custom" mean on the dash and is it my eyes or is this thing running 4.5" pcd wheels? Which would mean its actually an F100?!

Custom generally just means it was the basic stripped down truck.

I can't tell from the pics, but it looks like it has the 5.5 pattern.

Thanks for that Dean, IIRC we had Transit Vans that wore the custom badge in the early '80's too.

The wheels did turn out to be 4.5" - good news for me as more rims are available in that pattern over here.

Hmm, I would very upset if my F100 would have had the 4.5'' pattern, the only things with that pattern is mustangs and rangers, but everything has the 5.5'' including, Jeeps, F150's, Dodge pickups, and even some of the old Dodge fullsize cars.

Modern Dodge's and most Chryslers IIRC, Jap 5 stud too - makes rim selection easier. Not much stateside stuff in the UK (esp. in 5.5") and what there is, is expensive.
