Anyone in need of a Big Job Y-block?

Facing the economic crunch real bad here. Pondering the parting out of the old fire truck, but not sure if I want to knock it in the head yet. I know I can make quick use of the cab anf such, but would really hate to send the good 279 Lincoln Y-block and the good 5 speed transmission to the crusher. Anyone here have a use for a 279/5speed direct drive combo for a Big Job that has 7200 original miles? I have the fire truck listed for less than it's parted out value on ebay, and so far, no bidders, and only a couple of questions. If it doesn't sell by the end of auction tomorrow, then I think my only alternative is to strip it and sell the nearly perfect sheet metal and glass and parts and try to sell the motor and transmission. I would then probably have no other choice but to send the fire body and pump and chassis to the scrap yard. Any thoughts guys and gals, advice, interest, etc.

The sale ends tomorrow on ebay. I will let you know then. I think that this truck is more valuable as parts to make sure a lot of other rigs get back on the road. If it doesn't sell, then I think I will be parting it out. I know of another fte'er that needs the title and vin plate. I would rather cook some good deals with you guys than see someone buy it, let it sit and rot for years, and end up selling it dirt cheap to a crusher. Like I said, the truck has 7200 original on the clock. It don't leak no oil, but since it is old, I think it should be torn down and gone through to make sure age didn't do a number. I have driven it, and it runs darn good, and has been fun to drive. If it on't sell, we can talk and I am sure we can meet in the middle on price. I'm trying to come up with about $1000 to recover from a few unexpected debts. (No, I don't want $1000 for the motor/tranny).
