03 ford f150 xl 4.6l 4x4 spins over but wont start

03 ford f150 xl 4.6l 4x4 spins over but wont start

my pcm power diode not getting power dash gauges dont come on for about a min and when it does start to work my theft light blinks rapidly, also my fuel pump wont engage please help!

Look for a loose wire feeding the underhood fuse box. You should have a PCM relay that feeds power to the diode, but the PCM relay gets it's power from the fuse box under the hood.

i jus had the pats and the computer changed and programmed about 3 wks ago... and it ran fine until 2 days ago... it ran completely outta gas and i coasted it to my house (thankfully i was close to home) parked it and went and got fuel the next day and thats when its started actin up... could this be happening bc i ran it outta gas?

and if that has nothing to do with the trouble i'm having... is there anything else other than a loose wire that could cause this? jus in case that dont work i'll have an ideal what to do next.... and thank u so much for ur time!

Running out of gas could have ruined your fuel pump. I would verify you have voltage to the pump, and if you do, that you have pressure in the fuel rail. The fuel keeps the pump cool, and of course you can run them out of gas without hurting them, but it's certainly not the best thing for the pump. It may have been the last straw on yours.
