The 1970 F-250 "Junior"

[/IMG]
I hope that came out alright. I tried the use of another photo and this one came on instead and I got to thinking that I got it this far I had better just keep going. Please do not notice brand X as the red Ford is to the outside and first up for putting into the shop when the time comes.
I did make a tech gallery for 1970 F-250 with other photo's of this truck.

Hey Orin, that is a good looking '70! What kind of shape is the bed floor in. I actually found my '67 up in Dubois. When my mom was living up there, she found it for me.

Good luck with the 11.70 this weekend Miles, so far it sounds like the weather will be good.

Well Pat, this poor truck spend most of its life as a ranch truck. The bed and fender wells are beat bad, how ever I also have a 1971 F-250 4X2 Camper Special with I think XLT trim. I know its loaded to the max but the body is all that I' am interested in. It is in wonderful shape with some rust on out side box panels and front fenders. I lifted the crome trim to check the body and it does not apear to have rusted under there.
When I said I would go back to origanal I forgot that I was going to dress this up when I got done with but will be restore to red as that is my favorite color.
It will never be used as ranch truck again, it lived that life and now can rest.
Do you have your 67 in your gallery? What motor did yours come with? Did it have a less that rough life up till now?

I have some pics of the '67 in the gallery. Sounds like you have a good donor truck! Mine currently has the 300-6 in it. But, I have a nice 390 sitting in my garage, with the GT heads, that should work just fine for it! Mine won't be quite original. I'm going to put a different year grill, a later model dashboard, so I can get the newer heater controls. One of our members has an complete AC unit for it (Not for me, I like the windows down, but the wife doesn't like the heat!). Might put in power steering, and maybe update the brakes. Oh, and turn it into a Ranger, with all the trimmings! Thinking maybe add a late model 5 speed, but that might be way out of my budget! I'm going to pull the body, and do a frame-up resto-ish on it.

Hey Pat, Just after I posted off I had got to thinking and went to your gallery, is it dark blue or black? From what I can see that does not look like a bad outfit at all. With some TLC and your additions should make quite a truck. Sound like this will be a runner when you get done. Does your truck have the single in out transfer case with no hi lo? Last question it seems of many, but when you said your changing your dash to newer, what one did you have in mind? I had never gave this any thought before.
