Don't want to wish anything bad on anyone else but, I hope Ike goes in a different direction, These Mississippi and Louisiana people need a break from these hurricanes.

I'm just glad its going further south in the gulf period. Thought we would get a big chunk of tropical storm force winds & we still might. Probl'y be drivin' home in the tail end of it after it comes ashore.

I always feel sorry for the folks who are in the path of a storm cause I know I'll be in the sights of another one eventually. The folks who my heart goes out are the ones in the caribbean. They have been hit 4 times & suffered mightly.

Ok, here is one from the sheets & giggles dept. Make of it what you will:

Last night I saw group of "things" that were... er, flying & uh.... well... uh... I can't rightly say... uh... what they were.

Now I've been an aviation buff all my life & can recognize just about anything from any distance & these were not any type of aircraft you would see at any airshow any where. Very sharply defined & bright "red" *****, total of 5

Now I do know that Eglin AFB is a stones throw away & the airspace above & in front of us is theirs. This is quite possibly the quietest sky I've ever seen. I also know that some folks consider it almost a second area fifty-four... err, 51 (?)

Anyway I'll be keeping an eye out.

Have fun with it ...

Patina if I'm selling it and rusty if I'm buying! Usually applies to guns more than trucks. That one really looks like a Sanford and son special, love it!

My cousin saw a red slow moving ball in Amite county once years ago. I'm very slow to jump to the conclusion that anything unexplained are space critters. (coined by Boss Hog)

Hurricane hunter C-130's are based in Gulport.

Great ole truck, fix it up and cruise the cost. We go down for the Cruisin The Cost Xmas Toy Run every year they have it. Ride the Valk. Leave the PSD at home.

Sorry for the off topic.....just dreaming bout good times.
