are you trying to remove the springs from the shocks, or the coil-over itself from the truck?
hope this helps

remove coil over:
jackstands
remove tire
unbolt the sway bar from the lower control arm (LCA)
remove upper ball joint nut
use big freaking hammer and hit the upper control arm
upper control arm (UCA) should pull loose from upper part of steering knuckle
tie UCA out of the way
gently allow knuckle and LCA to drop out of way.
use 30mm deepwell socket and 1 1/16" wrench to remove the lower coil-over bolt
use 9/16" (i think) wrench to remove 3 nuts from top of coil-over perch
wiggle the coil-over and it should just pull right out of the truck

rent a spring compressor
connect the compressor to the spring and ensure it's on there solidly
take it apart
slowly loosen tension on the spring with the compressor until it's loose
