where to start upgrading the fuel system?
what should i do to start upgrading my fuel system, and what all can i do? i am thinking of doing the in tank kit and the cck kit and fpr shimming if needed. are these good places to start? where is the best place to get these items at? thank you all for helping me spend my money wisely.

First upgrade get a fuel pressure gauge(electric, or mech with a line so you can see under load IT NEEDS TO BE WATCHED UNDER LOAD!!!!! At idle is a BS number, my pump failed and it showed 62PSI at idle, once I got my foot into it at all, it would drop to zero). See what your fuel pressures are at now. If you are not holding pressure now, start with a fuel pump. If after this test you have good fuel pressure you can determine what to do. I am saying this due to the most likely it is to have a high mileage truck out there, and the pumps do wear out.
Fuel system (going with larger injectors): 5/8 pickup in tank, to a pre filter(10 micron preferred) /water separator of some sort(I have the Dahl 150, but if I had to do it over again, I would not have used it due to cost), to a hi output pump (fuelabs, Aeromotive, FASS), to another filter(2 micron), up to a fuel bowl delete with RR.
Fuel system (stock injectors): Pre pump kit and CCK. If you are not holding pressure a new stock pump. You need to maintain pressure over 40PSI, to prevent damage to the injectors. Over 50 is good, 60 is right around where most like it.

I would do the ITP in-tank modifications, with the filter, then an ITP fuel system.
ITP 7.3L Fuel Tank / Pre-Pump Kit
ITP 7.3L "Standard" Regulated Return Kit
