I would love to get it, but I'm pretty far away. Hopefully someone saves it. 1947 Mercury 1 ton. eBay Motors: RARE CANADIAN 1947 MERCURY Truck FORD half ton NO RSV (item 300253915681 end time Sep-06-08 19:21:54 PDT) Well, 600 miles isn't that far away, but getting across the border may be an issue for me.

There's a fella in Ontario looking for 1 ton running boards for his '47. Hopefully he buys my offer to keep the running boards and bed if he gets the truck for me and meets me in Grand Portage, or International Falls. I can only hope. This is the truck style I want to make a street rod project out of.

What makes this so rare?

Neat looking truck. I hoped you can get it.
Is the divided rear window unique to the Canadian Mercs.

Somebody must have bought it outright early. It is no longer on ebay, and I know it wasn't set to end til Sept. 6th. With a lot of luck, the new owner will swing by FTE. I will be headed up to look at my uncle's Big Job today. I hope it won't be that hard to get it trailered back home, along with the F6 (2 trips). Gah!!, I need to make more room, lol.
