2007 F-150 Harley Davidson Edition - Transmission

I have a 2007 HD F 150. The transmission continiously shifts and torque converter locks and unlocks between 40-60 mph. The dealership checked the download and called Ford. The Ford people told them that the HD amd Lightning editions have a different shift pattern than Lariat, King Ranch etc. and that it should be doing that. Anybody else have this going on with their truck? Any ideas?

there is no Lightning Edition 2004+ F-150. Last Lightning was made in 2003.

The Limited and HD F-150 have the same transmission as the F-150 with 5.4

the only difference is the different t-case (allows for AWD).

Sounds like your techs fed you some

and don't know what they are doing. there is no reason to change the shift patterns simply because it is AWD vs 4wd.

I know what you are speaking of.

At the end of the day, if you are looking to make any type of power witht the truck you'll need a Tuner.

I suggest SCT. This will allow to tuner to customize the engine and transmission management to your specific truck & needs.

I also suggest a VB Calibration Kit.

Michael.

tuner

Thanks for the responses. I know nothing about a tuner or calibration kit. Is this something that is simple to hook up and use or does it take some "know how?" Also, are they expensive? Thanks guys!
