Radio FM VHF install

I sometimes help my uncle farm. he has motorola radios in his trucks and tractors.
I want to put one in my truck.
What do I need to know???????
Frequencies?
Antennas? I have two cb mounts I would like to use. If not I'm going to buy two cb antennas and mount them in for looks.
Do the truck radios work with "2-way" Walkies?
Any info would be great.

Uhm... We really have no clue what you are talking about when you just say "Motorola radio." I get the feeling that a product such as this would come with some sort of instruction manual, no?

to run a Motorola VHF radio in your truck, you will need an antenna matched to the frequency of the radio, a license for the use of the radio, and the radio will have to be set to the antenna otherwise it will burn out in a very short time

before there was such a thing as nextel push to talk, we used Motorola radios for mobile communications.
like the police use.

kinda like a very powerful CB radio, that could link up with a repeater station, and you could talk for hundreds of miles.
