TPS or what?
Hi everyone, I have an issue with my 92 f250 HD 4x4 w/ 351w. It starts up fine the first start of the day then after that I need to push the accelerator to the floor and hold it until it starts. Is this the TPS acting up or what? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a fuel issue. Flooring the pedal during cranking shuts off the injectors. Defective temp. sensor? Defective fuel pressure regulator? Have you tried to pull any error codes? If not go to fordfuelinjection.com and follow the instructions on how to pull codes with a paper clip. Good luck.

My 92 F150 has had to have the throttle slightly open when starting the engine when the engine is at operating temperature. I have already replaced the IAC for another problem. I dont have to go to the floor to get it to start-just barely touch the throttle pedal. No codes in the ECU.
Slightly open throttle wouldnt turn the injectors off-correct??
