03 HD 6lb same as L 4lb?

Seriously....I need the real answer....

Over and over, I have received conflicting info on which lower pulley is safe for me...
Some say 4lb, others say 6....because the HD has a different pulley than the L on the SC....a 6lb for the L is the same as a 4 on the HD....

Don't know 'bout yall....but I think the extra 2psi would suck-bad if that is not right.....

For those that need a refresh.....

1997 F-150 4x4 3-door 4.6 Vortech SC turned
1997 F-150 4x4 3-door with a 2003 HD 5.4 SC Transplant in front of a WAAAAY expensive Art Carr 4R100. Cluster and computer are 03 Lightning. C&L uppers, Accufab single blade, Lightning MA, SCT2 Flash

So....whattadillio?

You are correct. The difference in TWO pounds of boost is found in the size variation of the blower pulley. The stock Lightning tune is pretty rich. I run a 6 pound pulley on the stock ('01) tune some of the time. You should be safe with either pulley. Verify with a W/B of course.
An 8 pound lower in conjuction with the Harley upper on the blower will yield 14ish pounds of boost.

That's pretty safe, relative to the tune of course.
A couple more pounds of boost won't make much more horsepower, but the torque difference it makes under the curve will be noticable on the street.
You'll want all of the torque available to get that pig rolling.
