In my quest to re pad the rear rotors on my 04, I contacted B&C Car-quest. They list a couple of kits to accompany the job. One is a slide pin kit that includes pins and bolts, and the other is boots, retainer springs, and anti rattle clips. Has anyone had there hands on with either of there offerings? Are they worth the salt or should I go OE, to have the whole enchilada, so to speak?
The heads of the car-quest slide pins(in hand) have got the same flaired tops, unlike OE that have a notched upper pin head for the upper slide? There slides have three small flats around the shaft, i'm not sure if OE has this feature or not.

I got the old ones out fine. They had no corrosion (drivers side so far). The new pins have a gold colored plating and I'm not sure of its composition. All I can figure is that ford engineers figured one pin ( maybe compression side) needed full surface contact, but that would seem to limit available grease. I may be looking to close, and aftermarket had to do something to avoid patent infringement? ironmine thanks for the chat back.
