94 5.8 liter into 65 f100
i know how im going to mount the engine. wiring is the big thing, ive found a couple of after market harnesses that say they will work. i also need to eliminate the power steering, smog pump, and a/c any thoughts. then there is the egr and smog stuff the more of that i get rid of the better. any input would be great. thanks, lee

Are you keeping the EFI or putting a carb on it?
Besides the EGR the only other smog equipment on this motor is the air pump and assiciated plumbing.. which you can safely eliminate.
The stock truck engine harness and computer would be the cheapest and most painless way to make a stock EFI motor run.

Hey Bliss1
I have installed a 4.6 DOHC in my 79 F100, you can check out the gallery I have.
I am reusing the 93 Lincoln Mark 8 harness, I bought the car wrecked last year and stripped it down and am re-using the whole harness as well as the dash. I will have to splice in the wiring for the exterior lighting.
