So I am looking for any tips or tricks need to change the fuel filter in a 2003 Expy 5.4L.
Thanks,
Craig
happeetxn, I have an '01 Expy 5.4L and it is on the inside of the frame rail on the driver's side - about near the driver's door. Get a pack of the assorted plastic release tools (not sure what size off hand) that slip over the tubing on your fuel filter and will release the fuel line from the filter. You can get these inexpensively from your local auto parts store. Disconnect your battery and open your gas cap to release pressure. Slip the plastic release tool over the fuel filter's tubing and slide it into the fuel line clip. You may have to play around with it a bit, but your fuel line should release from the filter. Repeat on the other side of the filter. Put in your new filter and reconnect the fuel lines (they should just snap over the filter tubing). Put the gas cap back on, connect your battery and you're done. Take your time and it should be a piece of cake. Good luck.
