im sorry... what im looking for is how the ac is setup in the '96..

This question is still a little fuzzy. What is wrong with your A/C system? If you can tell us that, we can begin from there. If you want to dismantle the system, please leave that to a trusted A/C shop.

Simple diagnosing can be done here.
