I have never regretted having the 9' plow over an 8',,I mean even with the 9' footer,,,my mirrors are damn close to obsticles,,and I have them in all the way,,,and many, many times when we plow the big lots,,we Tag-Team(2 or 3 trucks plow to plow) on a larger win-row,,straight blade or angled,,we are using all of the plow,,,with trailoff on each side ! All depends on what your plowing. I would think a Bronco, or Blazer, RamCharger type vehicle ,,,7.5' plow for driveway's would be a great rig.
