2005 F150 exhaust questions

I just purchased an immaculate black 2005 f150 supercrew and I want to give it a little more sound. I want it to be fairly quiet at idle and highway speeds but I want to hear something whel I hit the gas. Which setup is right for me?

You are describing the Magnaflow SIDO or SISO kit. I have the SIDO kit on my truck #16614.

SIDO - Single inlet, Dual Outlet
SISO - Single Inlet, Single Outlet

here are a few videos of my truck. at 75 mph, the radio is only on at 2 bars. You know the exhaust is there, but it's easy to ignore if you even notice it.

same with the idle. A nice rumble, but quiet.

When you stomp the gas, it gets downright mean sounding. The exhaust will get louder, but it will not be raspy. It's like a mellow roar...best way I can think to describe.

In any situation but wide open throttle, my 4 yr old can fall asleep. She has slept to the Magnaflow exhaust since she was 2yrs old.

0-45 mph Acceleration
20 mph - 85 mph acceleration
Driving in some gravel with gratuitous flooring

if you just want loud, get a Flowmaster.

Try the Roush off-road exhaust. You'll like it very deep and throaty with commanding power. All stainless steel as well.

Magnaflow now has the dual exit behind the rear wheels like the F-150 HD trucks. We built true duals for my sons FX2 Screw. It has the Flowmaster DIDO, sounds awesome at WOT but it does have a roar on cruise. +1 on Magnaflow & +1 on Flowmasters (with earmuffs)

Great news. Duals behind the wheel is what I have ultimately been wanting, but the only one I have seen thus far is by Gibson, where I had already decided on Magnaflow. I have not yet seen the Magnaflow version on anyone's sight, but will start the search now. Thanks !

Gibson makes good stuff also.

my last truck was really quiet. I had it's exhaust cut out and a new catback installed. the muffler guy called me over and showed me the "old" muffler. it was a Gibson. would never have known. it sounded like stock muffler.

Gibson is more performance oriented with little noise. Magnaflow is similar, but the noise level is higher.
