96' issues in high R's and low speed

ok heres the deal, my truck breaks up at WOT at like 4-5200 rpms...bucks, sputters, farts, belches, its running lean and backfires through the air intake....timing is on, put it on a modis and my pip lines up with the timing on a graph, good fuel pressure, serviced all the time by me, 150K, i think it might be the coil but seems to ohm out fine, new tune up with msd stuff... shorty's to high flow Y and 3inch fake duals.....it also bucks in like 3rd at 25mph, and in 2nd on light throttle... along with the r's hanging(i think tps).... can u help me??? it got this issue after mudding and i submerged it like 5times...lol but it didn't die just ran horrible for a while...i think its the coil i accidently hit the coil with the power washer and same prob occured like i was wheeling, its a quick truck seems fine until i cruise or WOT it??someone help plz!!!! thanks any opinions??? BTW 5.0 5speed 2wd

i submerged it like 5times

It could be electrical, I run shortys and highflow cats no probs .

One of these guys can help you !

lol..the headlights only went under...i hope its not the pcm...i love the headers if i could only keep the bolts tight...thanks bro nice truck btw

Unfortunantely that's right where the air intake is.
Count yourself one lucky somnabiatch you didn't hydrolock the motor and pretzalise a few rods.

Your best bet is to pull the codes to see what comes up, there are lots of things that could cause your problem.. from plugs to a bad sensor, the codes will help eliminate a lot of possibilities.
