Someone's Addicted..

To sled pulling! Tonight was the beginning of the fair, started out with a tractor pull. I had a wild hair up my *** and i felt like running. Ah hell, whats the worse thing that could happen...?? Me get closer to my dream?? I went down and looked at the classes, they had a "street diesel" which was open to any diesel pickup you could drive in. I borrowed a clevis hitch, and hooked up. I started out in 4lo, 1st gear, wound it out around 4000, and then missed 2 and went straight to D (my shifter is loose), i quickly jammed it back into second, and continued on down the track, i believe it was 243' even after my mistake which really hurt me. Still won first place.

How often do you anticipate replacing parts now that you have a new hobby?

Thanks for the comments guys. I can only imagine how much better it would have been if i went straight to second and didn't slow down, i probably lost 20' in momentum out of it. I ran in 60T, because that feels strongest on the street. I was debating putting on a smokeshow for the crowd with 140 setting, but that's much weaker than the 60, and i knew i wouldnt have gone as far, and i probably wouldnt have won.
