The nut that's on there is stuck to say the least. If I only had a brain I would of gotten one on the last run for parts, but, that will be tomorrows mission. So far everything has gone pretty smooth. Does anyone know why ford has different sizes of line fittings on these?
The stud is just rusted to the block of the hose. Mine was the same way. Only way to remove it from the axle was to remove the lines and vent hose, then rotate the whole thing, which unthreaded it off the axle. Then I put the block in a vise, shot it up with PB Blaster, put a six-point deep-well over the hex head (you can do that with the hose off), and grunted on it 'til it came loose.

The part's a pretty standard part at most FLAPS. As for the fittings, yeah, we just bought this truck, but it seems like one of those where one department had gone metric, and another hadn't, so there'll be SAE on one end of a connector or line or brace or something, and metric on the other. The problem is not alcohol per se, it's more like the designers in the various departments didn't drink at the same bar....

If pre-bent lines aren't available use a coat hanger to make a template for the new line.

i lay them out and use masking tape to keep the new line attached to the old.

quick and oddly relaxing.
