Vegistroke Excursion Prototype Finally Done

Well guys, here it is. Here are some pictures of our new 40 gallon auxillary Excursion Tank. There are still a few refinements and adjustoments that need to be made, but this is basically it. This is an all aluminum heated auxillary tank that is comletely independent of the OEM tank. There is a 30 gn low profile tank as well that will be 3" more shallow. We are particularly porud of our filler door solution. Sound off and let us know what you think!!

Looks good.
Is that gas filler cap from a motorcycle?
It looks awfully familiar.

I admire the engineering work ya'll did on that truck. Though I don't foresee buying an Excursion since we have the F250...but my wife could always upgrade from the Explorer to an Excursion; I'll keep this kit in mind. Really nice looking work there guys.

Sweet!

Will that tank/filler concept work on a 2005 350? Will you be offering it as an option to the V3 turnkey system?

Eagerly awaiting your call so i can get going on a purchase.

how about a strap on that new tank, or are the mounting tabs strong enough? considering weight. Looks good love the filler solution

Yep, the mounting tabs are plenty strong enough. Oil is ~7.6lbs/gn times 40 gallons equals 304lbs, divided by 4 tabs is only 75lbs per tab. Each tab has been tested to support over 250lbs without defection. So really the tank should be able to easily support 1,000 lbs. The only thing that I will likely do given how far down that tank sits is weld a double layer on the bottom.

And on the filler door, you can lock it too with the door locks so no one can steal our valuable oil...
