Thumbs up 2008 Mid Atlantic Meet All Truck Nationals - New England

The chapter leaders of the Mid-Atlantic Region has agreed to hold an FTE G-2-G at next years All Truck Nationals in Carlisle, PA The date is August 8--10, 2008. August 9th will be our "Official FTE National Rally" meet.

Info on the show can be found here, http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/truck/index.asp

We plan on registering as "MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCKS Club" and hopefully be in the running for a club participation award.

There are plenty of hotels and campgrounds available for overnight stays. It is possible to make it a one day trip from where you live for the Saturday of the show. If we have enough members willing to stay overnight, then we would be willing to reserve a block of rooms now to guarantee them for the event.

ALL FTE MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!

Send me a PM with your email address so we can keep you informed on any updates, hotel/motel accomodations, campgrounds, etc.

This post has also been made in each state chapter of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

To Pre-Register for the MidAtlantic Region Meet, complete the form found here for the "2008 All-Truck Nationals NON-COMPETITION Fun Field.

I haven't done a weekend trip in a few years now.

And no you said nothing. It's just that a lot of sh@t has come down recently and I'm pretty strapped for cash right now. I get to save up for 6 months and get her to save up as well. And thats just for the gas. I am also crossing my fingers I get a call back for an interview on a new job.
If I have to stay here I will probably be bald in 2 months and will be holding down at least 2 jobs if not 2 additional jobs.

I hear you on the strapped for cash. My compensation is commission based and with the business the way it is...has been on a downward spiral for the last three years. Combine that with the cost of everything going up and up...well it isn't pretty.

Good luck with the job search!!!

I'm also headed out on Wednesday to check out Hershey and/or Gettysburgh.

Thru the efforts of Brenda,LilBluPony from the Delaware Chapter, we have booked 15 double queen bed rooms at the Quality Inn & Suites.

Quality Inn - Chambersburg
1095 Wayne Avenue
Chambersburg, PA 17201
Phone: 717-263-3400
Fax: 717-263-8386
Contact: Nichole Chiaverini

When making your reservation, the rooms are under the MIDATLANTIC FORD TRUCKS (FTE) CLUB. You must give the club name in order to get the discounted rate!

The rooms are for Friday August 8 and Saturday August 9, 2008.

The Quality Inn has agreed to hold the 15 rooms until June 15, 2008. So IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOURSELF A ROOM.

The rate is $75.00 per nite which is about $25 to $50 dollars cheaper than anything else available. All rooms in a five mile radius of Carlisle are booked and have been for quite some time.

If you haven't already done so, I need for you to PM or email me your full name, address, regular email address and telephone no. so future updates can be made via email and not posting in a thread on FTE.

Click on the link below to get the details on the Quality Inn.

Just a reminder to those of you who showed their support for this meet. In case you have missed it, the info for registering for the Carlisle All Truck Nationals is posted in your chapter as well as the MidAtlantic Region. I personally put up the money to reserve a "tent" so we will have parking on the fair grounds for all of us. In order for me to get my money back, I need you to register.

To Pre-Register for the MidAtlantic Region Meet, complete the form found here for the " 2008 All-Truck Nationals NON-COMPETITION Fun Field.

In order to centralize future announcements and information on the MidAtlantic Regional Meet, the following thread located in the Mid-Atlantic Region threads will be used,, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...nationals.html

I would like to see the chapter threads used by the Chapter Leaders to organize their state chapter planning and the members who are attending and who have registered.
