The best help I can be right now is to point you in the right direction.
Three of us here have guided others through this installation.
Please go through the other threads on this forum for all the installation instructions.

As far as power to the radio goes,I hook mine directly to the battery with shieled coax cable with an in-line fuse.

Also, make sure that the antenna is grounded properly. If it aint then you'll burn up your radio. On the coax to the antenna, ther's 2 wires - a inner core wire thats the positive, and a outter wrap of wire thats negative. If your antenna mount aint grounded right, likeif you mount the antenna on a fiberglass surface, you can run a ground wire from where the coax screws onto the antenna adaptor or antenna and then ground that wire on some metal source. Also, keep the antenna tight and you'll get best reception with one long antenna rather than 2 short ones. I got a 102 inch whip from radio shack for 15 bucks. I got a Cobra 29 LTD Classic that's been peaked and tuned with a echo box and it puts out 1.5 SWRs and almost 20 watts on the meter. THe rule is, the less SWRs the better. Anything under 3 or 4 is great.
