I'll with Jolly Green, I'd keep mine bone stock and minimal. Power-nothing and a little rough in the seat. In fact, my truck is almost exactly how I'd want to it built new, except I would prefer a manual. Why? That's simple...
BECAUSE MY WIFE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK! :P
I'd like a C6 tranny with overdrive made to handle alot of HP and Torque, a better door panel so when you take the damn things off they don't break the tabs to easy, and NO RUST.
I would want a brand-new 1979 F100 Ranger short bed Indy Pace truck. The options that I would want on it would be:
302 V8, 4spd manual with OD, AC, PS, PB, cruise, tilt, AM/FM cassette, and sliding rear window.
1975 F-150 regular cab Explorer (black with the white Explorer stripe) with the topper. Sliding glass on cab and topper. Bronco buckets w/console. Fuel injected 390 with a 5-speed trans. Dual exhast, dual tanks, and a $1000 fuel card upon purchase
Edit: Oh and one more thing its black so I gotta have AC
I would order a 79 F-350 4x4 Supercab(with 4 doors like 99 and up) short bed. With 00 and up 7.3 Powerstroke for the intercooler. Four wheel disc brakes.Super duty tow hooks, power windows/locks,tilt,cruise,power/heated mirrors.Cup holders,40/20/40 bench seat.CD player.Manual locking hubs and transfer case. Soild black with race track trim and grey interior. Huskey liners, cab lights. Full gauges including tach.
I would have my '79 with nice black vinyl seats, up-to-date stereo system, American Racing chrome-plated slotted Mag wheels & 3" exhaust stacks running from short glasspack mufflers..........would change nothing else, personally........I'm satisfied with it otherwise
73 F100 style with a 7.3 power stroke and 08 King Ranch leather interior and I'll be at the dealership in 5 minutes to order mine ..... power everything including sunroof would be nice to
