single 3" exhaust for 01 4.6 at 2wd

Looking at building a new exhaust for the truck, 01 f150 2wd at. Thinking of a set of headers to a 3"collector back to a cat to a glasspack exiting in front of the pass wheel. A good, free flowing design that keeps it legal while maintaining good scavenging with the single 3". Any thoughts ideas? Thanks, Matt.

I have 3" from the cats back and lost a little low end but I like it overall. Headers would be the big gain.

Single exits in stock location in front of rear tire. There is an exhaust chart floating around on the net that shows what size for what power. Single 3" is good for something like 350hp, if you went dual you's only need around 2".
