Motor is out,,AGAIN!!

Well,,went to visit my truck today. What a mess!

The motor is out and one head is off ( the bad one )!

Not much to say,,,but it looks like a spring broke and dropped the valve down in the cylinder. The flat round part was on top of the piston and somehow,,,the rest of it he found in the header.

So,,,here is the head!



Top of the piston,,,I put the valve in there...lol



The hole is all the way through the piston.



Now we need a new piston,,,and they don't even make one like it anymore...Ahhhh,,what next?

Phil, first off. Sorry about the mess. Second, I think you should post those pics in the motor head threads. Sumtin don't look right to me.

I'm kinda thinking about that Robert,,,but it,s about 600 bucks pulse!
The new one are 18cc dish and the ones in there are 21cc dish.
So it would raise my compression and It might not run on just 93 octane
I don't want to run race gas allll the time...

Is that a Ford piston? If so, one can prolly be located, what years were the pistons used?

They may not make it, but that doesn't mean some dealer doesn't have one.
