yea i did that but i wanted to know what the factry called the color and what gears and all it came with too

Check for metal tag iindetifiication numbers and nfo on the third member of rea axle differential.
Post rear indentification numbers .

That's what my quick research shows too. Code 7 in 1978 for Ford Trucks was "Tan".

Very unique and descriptive name choice.
