I picked this up about 4 months back, I have not been driving it much, I just got my plates, (set me back 1600$), I have always loved for trucks, my dad got me a lightning back when I was 16(2003) it was a sonic blue, I would put away almost anything on the road with a few mods, so when I turned 20 I wanted to trade her in and got me a new F350 gun metal, with black lower paint. it looks sharp! , my question is..

What oil filter / how many qts of oil and what weight? its a 6.4 powerstroke twin turbo. I will try to get pix, but I need to get my cam from my mom/dad.

Quick answer is 15 quarts with a filter, but check after 3 1/2 gallons (14 quarts) on dip stick for obvious reasons. The oil filter is the same as in th 6.0 diesel. Several choices, Ford prefers you use MOTORCRAFT, but sponsors on this side offer alternatives. Do some reading first.

 

Thr fram filter is the exaxct same part as motorcraft in different package and usually cheaper. Open both and look at the numbers.... the same thing
