Had the truck on a scale today

Took a load to the dump so I had a chance to get the truck on a scale. After it was unloaded and taking out the weight of the passengers inside, I was around the 7300 lb mark. This was with 1/4 tank of fuel (no idea how much that is with my tank- 55 gal. aftermarket steel tank). 99 F250 crew cab short box 4x4 with an auto trans. I know this subject pops up from time to time so I thought I'd post my results.
Oddly enough, a 1500 lb (or 3/4 ton) payload would put me at 8800 GVWR... how convenient.

Did the same thing at the dump the other day......with 1/4 tank, with me and 2 dogs I was right at 7850 lbs, probably due to my fully stocked toolbox, running 35's and full size 35 spare. Sure feels good to have a truck this heavy go this fast

I believe recreational vehicles are exempt from scale reports or weight limits..

At least in canada they are.

Same with the US. You don't even need a CDL to drive a semi-truck if it is classified as an RV.

Work has scales we use for weighing tomato trucks at harvest and they are calibrated every year before the season starts. Last year I put mine on the scale with full tank of fuel and it did 8250 with me in it (190). Stock dually with a tool box with a Craftsman tool kit and misc wiper fluid and DK.
