I have been around the consequences for along time since most of my family is a member of volunteer fire companies. I work as a dispatcher so I get it even worse since I work for a college.

You should be able to find us there. If you want to find me just look for the truck in my signature at our tent.

I know what ya mean Jim. My last job I never got a full weekend off and I had no chance to take a vacation because it was just me and the boss there. We both left within a few days of each other because we got better jobs.

It did Jim. But they ended up having another cemetary dig and do the funeral setups for them. What hurt us the most was the fact that our immediate boss did not want us to leave.

It's tough to leave a job when you have a good boss, but sometimes the $$ and time with the family take presidence. (sic)

For me it was more the money and not having to be outside in the weather all day. When hurricane isabel came through my area several years ago me and the boss had a funeral that day. Setting up a funeral in 45 mph wind sucks.
