About how long does it take to get up there - an hour, hour and 15 min?

How many rounds of .303 did you get, Dave?

I didnt get any ammo yet. We need to stop at Wal Mart on the way up there. Its about an hour, only because you need to get off the fwy and drive up into the hills slowly.

So you do want me to come by and get you, right?

Wal-mart by your house has that ammo?

I have some .22 if you want to bring that little pump.

Good luck finding .303 British at Wal-Mart! Most gun stores don't carry it anymore.

I don't have round one, no '06 either.

Have: 300 Savage / 30-30 / 30-40 / 32-20 / 32-40 / 35 Remington / 35 WCF / 405 WCF / 44-40 / 44 Russian / 44 Magnum / 45 Colt / 45 Colt ACP / and others y'all never heard of.

Better call Wal-Mart to see of they carry .303, otherwise lemme know, I know someone that carries it.

I'll get a coupla boxes for Sunday, I gotta coupla '95's in 303.

I can't find 7.7 jap anywhere other than the internet, and then it's almost $2 a round.

I guess you're gonna have to leave your Arisaka at home.

I can call around..there's a coupla gun shops that might have it.

Lock, Stock 'n Barrel in Temple city, Old West Guns in Industry.

2 bucks a round is cheap...I'm bringing a '95 in 35 WCF...20 bucks a round is what some ppl are asking for it.

I stocked up years ago when it was a buck a round.

I got a Remington Model 8 you can use with 20 rounds of 35 Rem. Hope you aren't planning on doing much for the next coupla days, cuz...Old dobbin never kicked like this critter!

Ex-Texas Ranger Frank Hamer used a Model 8 on Bonnie & Clyde. It was a big success.

That's ok, Bill. I'm mostly interested in getting the feel for the 7mag I just picked up.

Dave, since you are close to that Turners over in Norwalk, you might give them a try for the .303. I doubt they would have it, but it's worth a try.

You could call the Stockade over in Westminster too, but it would have to be picked up today - none of those places will be open when we head up there tomorrow.

'06 for the Garand you can buy all day long.

I'll look and see if I have any more .69 round ball for that Springfield conversion -

That's a fun one to throw lead with.

Anyone bringing any pistolas or revolvers?

I'm bringing a DA Merwin in 44-40, S&W New Navy DA in 44 Russian, 45 Colt SAA, 44-40 Colt New Service, mebbe the Glock 17.

I haven't fired a round since 1996.

CA law: Handguns in vehicles must be in locked cases, unloaded of course. Ammo stored elsewhere.

The only Wal Mart around here that sells ammo is Cerritos. The guy didnt even have to look to know he had 30-06, no 303 though.
