F-Series A/C Fill Capacities...

I have an '89 F250. I'm looking for the amount of R12 to put in a completely evacuated system. Also looking for the amount of oil. Should be a sticker under your hood that gives this info... mine's gone.

Please reply by e-mail if possible, or I'll check back here periodically.

Thanks.

the first thing that u should do is go to Wal-mart and buy a conversion kit to 134a to get ride of the r12. it still has to be charger by a certified person with gauges, but it will be cheaper in the long run...

That has already been done. I have reason to believe that some R134a has been lost. I intend to evacuate and refill as soon as I find out the specs on quantity. Rule of thumb is that a system that originally had R12, when converted, will hold 80% as much R134a. That's why I want someone to tell me what the OEM sticker states is the capacity of R12.
Thanks for the reply..
