I want to change my transmission filter. I have a 99 Ford F250. Super duty PSD 4X4, automatic (4r100 tanny.) I've checked perhaps 4 of the parts outfits, NAPA, Motorcraft, etc. and a FORD dealer. Perhaps the 99 is unusual? My unit is an early model built in 98. Problem is the part # from the dealer is FT 114 and from vendors it's FT113. I'd like to get the right one. The dealer can't determine the difference in the two but is confident per his source is correct at FT114. NAPA is sure it's the FT113.
Surely one of our forum pals has some helpfull information. Thanks for any help CJ

 

FT114 sounds like what I used on my 2002. Check out motorcrafts' website and do the parts look up. Which ever part number motorcraft gives should work.

 

I did check motorcraft and called them as well. They are telling me the Ft113 and the 'Ford dealer' Ft114. A suggestion is that I check the # on the pan of the trans and cross reference that number against some other #s motorcraft has. Thanks anyway cj
