What should the spring in the attached throttle photo be connected to?

What should the spring in the attached throttle photo be connected to?

What should the spring in the attached photo be connected to? I think the end connected to the throttle linkage is correct but the other end is hanging loose. What is the proper configuration?

What spring? These old eyes need a better picture, I think your engine might need a bath and a shampoo?

I had a hard time seeing it, too. It's on the right side of the carb bowl and is rusty brown. They usually hook to a piece that bolts down to an intake bolt.

I hope you won't try to run it with the carb that rusty, rust will be going straight down into the engine
