A/C Comp. Died--Added 134, and It Came Back to Life
A/C system, 1991 F-150, originally Freon 12 system which blew up three or four years ago.
Original compressor replaced with reman pump, noisier than heck.
Leaked like a sieve, 134a kit put in, cools OK, leaks a can every other week, can of PAG every once in a while, no big deal, Walmart sells 134a cheap.
Tuesday morning, low on freon, compressor does not cycle; added can of Freon during lunch break, and the compressor started cycling.
Fired that ***** up after work, switched on A/C, and...no compressor.
What gives? Bad PE switch?
