Welcome to two new members- Cali84 and Bgalaxy67
Hey everyone,
I want to welcome two new members to our growing chapter, bgalaxy67 (Bill) and Cali84 (Neal). Here is a some more information about both of them.
Cali84 (Neal)
Neal sounds like a true Ford guy. That 300-I6 is an incredible engine with lots of great torque and respectable fuel mileage. I know of one member in this chapter that has that engine in his bumpside ('67-72) pickup. I am sure there are others as well.
Here is some info about bgalxy67(Bill)
Bill lives not far from me in Rio Linda. He is also the first person in the chapter to mention an interest in audio builds. I am sure I am going to need his advice when I start putting new audio in my truck.
Once again, welcome Bill and Neal to our chapter. We are great group of helpful people. We are going to have a get together this weekend in Sacramento. For more information about the get together, please check out this link and or contact BigEarl.

My name is Neal(Cali84) and I live in Redding. I joined the chapter because I have been checking out the site over the last couple weeks and have beenimpressed with the help and advice on working my era project truck. I have always loved Fords....(And had a distain for Chevy). I own a 2000 Ford Lightning that I have done some work to and I also just picked up this '84. I like the old body styles and am going to turn it into a truck that I can take out off road, go camping, go in the snow etc... It has the 300 I6, which is what I wanted (Gotta go for the MPG these days) I kind of just fell
into this truck as I have been keeping my eyes peeled for one just like it
and as it happened a guy I know had this sitting at his house and wanted to
get rid of it so I got the truck for free. It needs a new bed and I have
gutted the interior. I plan on taking the whole dash out and fabricating a
dash out of sheet metal and running aftermarket gauges. I found a parts
truck with a 9" rear end, strong running 300-I6 and every body panel is
straight for $500. I have a decent amount of mechanical knowledge, but I
have not worked on these trucks before so I imagine I will be using the
forums for questions pertaining to problems I come across. I own a mortgage company up here and in my free time I race Legends cars on road course. I look forward to getting to know everyone here and thanks again for the welcome.

I'm big into car audio. A fanatic you can say. I started a build thread up in the audio section. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/69...reo-build.I spend most of my free time building custom sound systems for clients.
I own a 200 Excursion, a 03 F250 diesel, 67 Galaxie, and a 72 Mach1 Mustang.

Let me say, welcome both bgalaxy67 (Bill) and Cali84 (Neal) to the Northern California chapter.
You'll find that these NorCal Chptr. guys are both helpful, and great characters.
Neal, I too, have the 4.9/300 l6 in a '81 F150.
It's a great engine. It's taken me there and back..........many times.
