winshield repair kits

i saw a couple glass repair kits at autzone these thigs any good? i dont care about being structurely sound i need to get a sticker on this newly owned truck. there are a bunch of cracks (looks like someone punched it. thanks i have virtually no budget right now

The cracks are not going to disappear regardless of what you do or have done.

They have some products that fill in spider cracks and things. If you are putting a sticker over it though (I take it you mean one of those full back window stickers) you won't see the cracks most likely... What can happen though is you will get bubbles...

If its that bad that it looks like it was punched, just save up for a new piece of glass. They are pretty common and not that expensive.

yea ill prob just get a rejection for now and within the 60 days or whatever it is get it put in, i dont like paying other people do do stuff the i can but i started to remove a windshield at the junkyard and didnt make it too far. kept braking anything iwas using in the same spot after like 5 inches of progress but it seems like a pain and then i got to take out mine too so ill pay for that. thanks for saving me 20 bucks on the repair kit

Shop around. I just paid $135 to have mine replaced.

you need a piece of piano wire, two pieces of wood and a friend to take a windshield out of a vehicle.

google windshield removal and i bet you get an article on how to do it.

sweet got pulled over today after gettin called out to move girlfriends sisters sectional couch. the cop asks me for my id then he says not a twentyu and i look down down and was handing him a twenty dollar bill. im too use to getting drive through coffee. gave me 2 warnings and 25 ticket for no seat belt(not surchargable) took seatbelt off to get registration but wasnt going to argue that.gonna start shopping around now.....just for the hec of it is picture hanging wire ok to use instead of piano wire thats what i originally started with but it was left over from another job the junkyard guy did

yea its pretty crappily written but im too hot and lazy to fix right now but thanks for the wire info

Piano wire is actually tougher and stiffer and stronger than picture hanging wire.

Actually guitar strings are the easiest to obtain at most music stores.
A pack of six for stringing a guitar is only a few bucks, and has six different thickneses to choose from in the pack, plus the whole pack being available in light - heavy gauge.
