High temp w/ AC on
Hey ya'll, I just put an 89 302 in an 84 150 with the 300 in it. It was running fine until I got the AC hooked back up. Now it wants to run hot on me. It runs around 185 w/o it with a 180 thermostat and the 6 cyl radiator. I'm running a 16 inch Haden electric fan set to come on at around 165. With air on it gets bumped up to almost 210 at idle and 200-205 moving. I'd like for it to stay around 190 all the time. I have about a 50/50 coolant mix. My compressor clutch keeps locking up too. My AC guy told me it could either be a bad clutch or the head pressure is to high because the fan isn't moving enough air, which I find kind of hard to believe, but if that is the case, do you think it would help if I put 2 8" "pusher" fans in front of the condensor?
