I am looking to see your stereo upgrade pics,I am not impressed with the look of the JVC Kameleon I put in ,would love to see pics of what is out there.
ya I really want to go double din dvd,but its pricy and the wife doesn't want me to spend that much,I hate the look of the single din and the tray underneath.
I Also have the Pioneer AVIC-D3. It has a nice clean fit. If you look on ebay they are getting cheaper.
Yeah, Pioneer just released their latest series of indash nav units so you should be able to pick up the D series (and maybe the Z series, the Z3 is rumored to be the last in that series) for a good deal off of MSRP.
If you can get a Z1,2 or 3 for under $800 grab it. Regardless of which one it is you can always upgrade the unit to Z3 for under $100.

I was reading the reviews for the Z3. Is it a pain that you have to insert the CD EVERYTIME you want to change destinations with nav system? I'm looking at the AVH-P6000DVD. It has a 6 CD capacity (which I'm used to with the factory receiver). I already have the Brandmotion GPS so I really don't need the NAV that comes with the AVIC.
I have a Kenwood 5120. Externally it looks very much like the Pioneer D3, the difference is that it has a built in Garmin GPS which is very east and intuitive to use, no separate CD nonsense. In fact, you can play a music CD or watch a DVD while using the GPS. Another nice thing is the unit has a matte finish, so it matches the dash nicely.
