Well, it is raining here today....but that is okay, cooler day to do some stuff inside the Bronco...gonna put in the tranny next week (hopefully). Finally got me an AOD....for 75 bucks even. Can't wait. Then gonna hopefully not find anything wrong with it when we start it up for the first time.......

Gonna go camping at Manning Park from the 8th until the 11th for my birthday....gonna be a nice relaxing time....hopefully it will be nice weather. Hoping to take my Bronco instead of Al's if all goes well. Will be a good test for it to see how everything works.

Haven't you got that tranny in yet. You are slower than I am.

Hopefully the instal goes smooth and it fires up and runs.

I have seen some of the campsites through Manning Park. A couple of them look pretty nice. We have thought about going there sometime as well.

Nope the tranny is not in yet, but the old one is out.....it's a start...pouring rain here today.

I hope it runs well too, the guy said it did when parked. But who knows after sitting for 4 years. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah, I googled Manning Park and we have decided on Mule Deer Campsite because it is the only one on the water. Gotta have water for the little guy to play in. Hopefully the weather will be nice and not raining. We have some friends from Langley that are gonna come up for a day and he is bringing some toys. He has made a chopper and another two mini bikes for his son, who I think is about 10. So we should have lots of fun.....

I remember seeing the campsite. I have always meant to stop at a couple and see what they are like.

You are brave to install a used AOD without inspecting the internals, but I guess at $75 its not really that big a risk.

Oh, it will be thoroughly inspected by my BF (who has many years working on vehicles) before I actually pay for it......

I may be a blonde female, and may have been born yesterday, but I was up all night

Probably a good thing that you stopped typing when you did Chris....I will be going through there in a couple of weeks. It is not that big of place I am sure I could find you.....in fact if I knew what time we were going through, we should have a quick coffee or something....don't want to be settin up in the dark. We won't be leaving here until I get off work...that could be anywhere from noon until 5 who knows.....if it is too late, we will just leave first thing sat morning.....

Well let me know what time you will be leaving. If I am not at work and it's not too early we could have a quick java.

I have a wife and two daughters. I know when to stop.

Good plan (having it inspected). Not sure how much you want to put into it, but I would still consider getting an overhaul kit since you, or rather your BF will have it open anyway. Just don't stay up too late, one of you will need a clear head to go through it.

No one seems to like the AOD, but I like it. My F150 has it and its in gear before the lever is all the way in position. Nice crisp shifting, no slip, no electronics and tall overdrive ratio. whats not to like?

I refuse to lift a finger until I have had a beer......so if they want it set up faster, they can do it
