Need advice installing aftermarket guages

i bought some autometer guages for my truck. i have a trans temp, water temp and a oil pressure guage. im not sure where the best place to install the sensors. i know i can install the tranny sensor in the test port, but what about the oil pressure and water temp guages?

i also need to know what the best place to get power would be and where to ground them.

also, how do i wire them so i can dim them with my stock guages?

thanks

There is a plug in the water crossover, front of the intake.
Get a "T" and tap in were the oil press. sending unit is above the oil filter.
I had a extra space in my main fuse panel under the hood I used for power
I found the parking light terminal oin the headlight switch and slipped a male spade terminal in there next to the wire

What he said cept I tapped into the dimmer switch for my lights in the gauges. The trans temp can be done by installing a T into the tranny lines going to the cooler up front. I am in the process of turfing my water temp gauge for an oil pressure one...if you want to monitor a trans, water, and air intake temps, get the scangauge II. It can do so much more as well and are worth every penny.
